Giveaway!!!

No, not a giveaway from me. Sorry to disappoint. But this is a pretty cool giveaway from another blog that I follow closely. It is called "Rudy's Life...As a Guide Dog in Training." I really like it and Rudy is adorable! I'm still not sure how to post a link to a different blog, but if you google the name above it should come up.



Why am I posting about a giveaway on another blog? Simply because I get an extra 5 entries just for blogging about it. :) Rudy is giving away a really cool travel bag that is polka dotted. For those of you who don't know me well I LOVE Polka Dots! And it looks like a very good carry-on bag for planes or night stay bags for puppies. In short it's really cool!

Name Game: R Names

Do you ever find yourself at loss to what order the alphabet is? Honestly, I could not remember what letter came after "Q" so I sat at my computer singing my "ABC's" until I came to "R". I can already tell it's going to be a long day.

Today's Letter: "R"

1. Rosie (for my step-mom. I still don't think it's quite original for my taste. Neither do most of my friends.)

Male Names: (I have a lot of male "R" names. If you remember long ago the post where I listed all the names I wanted for Rocco. Rocco didn't show up once.)
1. Rafael (Oh San Rafael, how I do love thee.)
2. Rangi (This is a Maori word basically meaning "spiritual great one"...or something along that lines. It's hard to explain words from different languages that have to equivilent in English.)
3. Roul (This also happens to be my saxophone's name. Fun fact about Erin: I play 3 instruments, not too well, but still. And I sing...so 4.)
4. Red (For Canada's greatest hero! That Marvelous Masked Mystery Man known only as the Red Panda!)

Pictures

So, the title of this post is misleading. There will be no pictures on this post. But I would like to say that Guide Dogs has posted the Graduation pictures from the June 19th Graduation on the California campus. As you might know Falla and Freeway both graduated on that day. And you might know that I was unable to attend because I was out of town...well actually I was less than an hour away from the GDB campus, but I had an appointment at 12-3 so I couldn't attend. But I got to see Freya's brother and sister with their partners thanks to GDB. Now, I'm not going to post the pictures in respect to the raisers and their partners' privacy, but...check out the flicker site for the pictures if you would like to see her litermates. Now I think Freeway looks more like Freya only bigger. :) What do you guys think?

Rocco goes hiking

So, I'm really hoping you'll be able to see these pictures because on my computer they're all a jumble of words. They're really cute pictures of Rocco on our hiking trip last Thursday. He did so well. He loved smelling all the trees and flowers and seeing all the different bugs. He really likes bugs. He even got to splash around in the stream. He really loved it! So, I've been trying to convince my dad to let me buy a kiddie swimming pool, one of those plastic wading ones, so that Rocco and Arwen can splash around. Both are retrievers so both really love water.

Since I live in CA there are a lot of places to hike. And since I live about 3 hours from all major hiking areas and 1 hour away from not so major hiking areas we were able to find a pretty little trail.

It's surprising I know. These "Q" names were easier to think of than some more common letters. The letter "Q" is a pretty cool letter if you think about it. It's like a super O. :)

Name Game: O Names

Hey all! Did you miss me? More importantly did you miss "The Name Game"? Well, cry no more because it's back! YAY! Unfortunately my step-mom had her heart set on "Rosie" and won't let me help name the puppy. But! I like hearing your ideas so much and we are technically half way through the alphabet so I decided to keep it going in hopes of changing her mind. Or at least getting a say in what the puppy is called. So, on with the game.

1. Olive (Have you guys ever seen "Little Miss Sunshine"? Well, if not you should because you'll know the reference. Anytime we don't know where the puppy is I want to be able to say, "Where's Olive." :) )
