An indicator that a person has RP is black "bone-spicule" pigmentation of the retinal pigment epithelium, or, the cell layer that nourishes retinal visual cells. (Thank you Wikipedia for having information at my finger tips. That being said, yes I took it from there, and no, I'm not too sure that it's actually true but the academically credited websites said the same thing only with bigger words).
